Price list for Helsinki’s outdoor swimming pools to be revised
The price list for the Swimming Stadium and Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool in Helsinki will be revised for the upcoming 2025 outdoor swimming pool season. Going forward, the price of a single visit will be €6 for adults (previously €5.80) and €3.30 for groups entitled to a discount (previously €3.20).
Outdoor swimming pool ticket products that are valid for 10 visits or 30 days (one month) will cost €50 for adults (previously €46) and €27 for discount groups (previously €25).
A season ticket to the outdoor swimming pools will cost €144 for adults (previously €138) and €78 for discount groups (previously €75). However, going forward, a season ticket to the outdoor swimming pools will be valid for the entire outdoor swimming pool season, which will run from 11 May to 21 September in the summer of 2025. A season ticket to the outdoor swimming pools will be valid at both the Swimming Stadium and Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool in the future as well. Previously, a season ticket to the outdoor swimming pools was valid for four months, or 120 days.
“The value-added tax for sports services was increased from 10 per cent to 14 per cent for this year, in addition to which this revision of the price list takes into account the increased maintenance and energy costs of the outdoor swimming pools. What is positive about this revision from the customers’ point of view is that a season ticket to the outdoor swimming pools will now provide access to the outdoor swimming pools for the entire outdoor swimming pool season, instead of only 120 days,” says Head of Sports Facilities Petteri Huurre from the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services.
Multi-visit ticket products purchased during the 2024 outdoor swimming pool season that are still valid can also be used as they are during the 2025 season.
Prices for the Swimming Stadium and Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool in 2025
Single visit: €6 for adults, €3.30 for children and discount groups*
10 visits: €50 for adults, €27 for children and discount groups*
1 month (30 days): €50 for adults, €27 for children and discount groups*
Season (11 May – 21 September 2025): €144 for adults, €78 for children and discount groups*
*Discount groups: children (aged 7–17), students, unemployed people, pensioners, conscripts and persons undergoing non-military service, people with disabilities, those who have applied for temporary protection and those who have already received a decision regarding this matter.

The revision of the outdoor swimming pools’ prices also impacts the use of other multi-visit and season ticket products of the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services
The outdoor swimming pools and the swimming halls (Itäkeskus, Jakomäki, Pirkkola, 1st floor of Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall) of the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services previously had uniform price lists, but, as a result of the revision of the outdoor swimming pools’ prices, the swimming halls will offer lower prices for their multi-visit and season ticket products than the outdoor swimming pools.
Consequently, the multi-visit and season ticket products of the swimming halls will no longer grant you entry to the outdoor swimming pools, with the exception of swimming hall ticket products purchased before the revision of the outdoor swimming pools’ prices enters into effect on 23 April 2025. Multi-visit and season ticket products of the swimming halls that are purchased before 23 April 2025 will automatically change into outdoor swimming pool ticket products on Sports Services customer cards. This does not require any actions from customers, and it will not change the products’ validity periods.
The multi-visit and season ticket products of the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services can be used at the purchase location as well as other sports facilities priced at the same or a lower level. In practice, this means that the multi-visit and season ticket products of the outdoor swimming pools can also be used at the swimming halls (Itäkeskus, Jakomäki, Pirkkola, 1st floor of Yrjönkatu Swimming Hall), sports halls, gyms and weight training halls of the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services (liikunta.hel.fi/gyms).
Similarly, swimming hall ticket products can also be used at the gyms, weight training halls (liikunta.hel.fi/gyms) and sports halls (liikunta.hel.fi/sportshalls) of the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services.
