Helsinki’s outdoor swimming pools restart magical moonlight swims

Traditional signs of autumn include the moonlight swims at Helsinki’s outdoor swimming pools. Moonlight atmosphere will be enjoyed in Kumpula on Friday, 18 August, and the Swimming Stadium invites you for a moonlight swim on Friday, 8 September.

Dark autumn evenings, outdoor candles and background music create a magical atmosphere at the outdoor swimming pools.

In deviation from the normal opening hours, the outdoor swimming pools will allow entrance until 23.00 for the moonlight swims. Swimming will end at 23.30, and you will have until 23.45 to take a shower. You will need to exit the area by midnight. The moonlight swims are subject to the normal entrance fees (€5.80 for adults and €3.20 for children and others).

The swimming season at the Kumpula Outdoor Swimming Pool will end on Sunday, 20 August, while the swimming season at the Swimming Stadium will end on Sunday, 10 September.
