Payment methods and purchase locations

On this page, you will find information on the payment methods and purchase locations of sports services, as well as product validity periods. You can find the prices for sports services on the Price list page.

Chargeable customer card

You can load your Sports Services customer card with swimming and gym sessions, a monthly pass or a season pass. The card costs €4. You can find the prices for single tickets and weekday, monthly and seasonal products on each sports facility’s own page and in the Sports Services price list. You can also buy a customer card as a gift. When purchasing the card, you should be able to state the recipient’s full name, phone number and email address or home address.

You can buy a Sports Services customer card and load products onto it at the following locations:

The products cannot be purchased online.

Periods of validity for sports products

Products loaded onto the customer card are valid for two years from the date of purchase.

Season products are valid as follows: 1 month = 30 days, 4 months = 120 days, 6 months = 182 days and 12 months = 365 days, starting from the first time the card is used. Monthly and season products allow one (1) entry per day.

You can check the quantity and validity periods of the products on the card at the purchase locations at the cash desk, ticket machine or self-service display.

Payment methods for sports products

At the cash desk, you can pay for sports products using the following payment methods:

  • cash (excluding Latokartano Sports Hall)
  • debit cards
  • Nets credit cards
  • ePassi Payments Oy’s ePassi
  • Edenred Finland Oy’s Ticket Mind & Body, Ticket Duo card and Virike voucher
  • Smartum Oy’s exercise and culture vouchers
  • RJ-Kuntoiluseteli Oy’s Tyky vouchers
  • SmartumPay
  • MyEdenred
  • Eazybreak
  • MobilePay

You cannot use ePassi, other exercise and culture vouchers or sports voucher apps or cards to pay for entry or cards on behalf of another person.

Payment methods for sports courses

You pay for courses booked through the online store (liikuntakauppa.hel.fi) when you make your booking. For courses booked by phone, we will send you an invoice by post. You can also sign an e-invoice agreement with the City of Helsinki, in which case we will send your invoices directly to your online bank.

Enrolment instructions for sports courses

Once you have received an invoice for the course, you can pay it via your online bank or, if you prefer, in cash or with exercise vouchers (ePassi, SmartumPay, MyEdenred, Smartum exercise and culture vouchers, Edenred Virike voucher or Tyky voucher) at these locations:

You will need to bring the paper invoice or a printout of the e-invoice with you. You cannot print out your invoice at the payment locations, and you cannot pay the course fee without a paper invoice. The cashier will take the paper invoice and send it to accounting.

Cash payments

Sports facilities offer a cash payment option in addition to card payments. An exception to this is Latokartano Sports Hall, which does not accept cash. Recreational islands also prefer card payments, but cash payment is also possible.
