Popular Jumppahetki workout programme returns to Yle with new episodes
The Jumppahetki workout programme, produced in cooperation with the City of Helsinki Sports Services and Yle, will make a much-requested comeback to Yle TV2 with new episodes. The all-new episodes will start running on the channel on Monday, August 28. The episodes will air on Monday–Friday at 08.50. They will also be made available as recordings on Yle Areena.
Yle and the City of Helsinki first joined forces and created the Jumppahetki workout programme during the coronavirus pandemic to encourage people to keep exercising. The programme became an instant hit and its episodes have attracted lots of viewers both in TV broadcasts and as Yle Areena recordings. Previous seasons of Jumppahetki have attracted close to 300,000 viewers on a weekly basis.
Yle and the City of Helsinki have received a lot of feedback on the programme with many viewers requesting for new episodes. Jumppahetki has continued to act as an important lifeline for many viewers who have had to reduce their daily physical activity. The programme has helped them gain daily exercise and look after their functional capacity at home.
The 20 new Jumppahetki episodes feature both new and familiar instructors as well as daily changing themes that may surprise you. Muscle workout and stretching are both included.
Each Jumppahetki session features two instructors, one of whom does an easier routine, for example, sitting down. The other instructor does a more straining version of the workout. This way, people of all ages and fitness levels can easily add to their daily physical activity, for example, by kick-starting their morning or taking a break from work. All episodes are available on Yle Areena.
All released Jumppahetki episodes are available on Yle Areena.
