Prices of sports services to be increased by the amount of the VAT increase
The VAT on sports services will increase from the current 10 per cent to 14 per cent, and the prices of the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services will be increased accordingly starting from 1 January 2025.
The VAT increase will raise, for example, the one-time fees and the prices of 10-visit and 30-day monthly passes for the City of Helsinki’s Sports Services indoor swimming pools, sports halls, fitness centres and weightlifting gyms. There will also be increases in the fees for guided exercise groups, sports facility rentals, boating and the Rastila camping site. In contrast, the prices of seasonal products that are valid for 120 days for indoor swimming pools, sports halls, fitness centres and weightlifting gyms will be reduced from their previous levels.
