Swimming halls
Helsinki has four swimming halls maintained by the City of Helsinki, seven swimming halls maintained by Urheiluhallit Oy, as well as numerous smaller swimming halls and pools in connection with schools and service centres, for example.

Itäkeskus swimming hall
Jakomäki swimming hall
Pirkkola sports park’s swimming hall
Yrjönkatu swimming hall (closed until 01/2026 due to renovation)
Helsinki’s swimming halls offer the opportunity to exercise, relax and rehabilitate in any weather. There are many different atmospheres in the four swimming halls managed by the city. The entire family’s Itäkeskus swimming hall has plenty of colour and tropical atmosphere, the sympathetic Jakomäki swimming hall is larger than its physical size, the spacious and bright Pirkkola swimming hall is suitable for fitness swimmers as well as families, for example, and the historic Yrjönkatu swimming hall allows you to enjoy the old-time spa atmosphere.
During the summer season, swimming halls are closed approximately from mid-June to mid-August. Exact dates can always be found on each swimming hall’s own website.
Wide range of services
The entrance fee to the swimming hall includes a gym visit at the Itäkeskus, Pirkkola, and Jakomäki swimming halls. At Itäkeskus and Pirkkola, the ticket price also includes virtual water aerobics.
