More winter swimming spots are coming
In the ongoing project round of participatory budgeting, new winter swimming spots will be opened in Kaivopuisto, Kalasatama and Jätkäsaari. In addition, the possibility of building a sauna at the Aurinkolahti winter swimming spot is being explored. We are looking for a sauna operator who can also arrange winter swimming in Tapaninvainio.
Monitoring of water quality at winter swimming spots
The operator of the winter swimming spot is responsible for monitoring water quality at the spot. The operator must inform swimmers of the monitoring results and of any swimming restrictions.
If public winter swimming spots are subject to swimming restrictions, the city will also issue a notice thereof. Public winter swimming spots are the ones that you can swim at without a membership.
